November 2016

This month's newsletter, written by Renee Liming:

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your

wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this month, it reminds us to be grateful, to be

thankful. During the prayer before the Thanksgiving meal, challenge everybody

to express at least one blessing that they are thankful for. I also challenge

you to take this one step further and do this on a daily basis. In the book,

"The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude," Sarah Ban Breathnach suggests

that we list five things daily that we are grateful for. It will help us discover

the sacred in the ordinary and realize that every day is literally a gift.

Writing Prompt: What are five blessings in your life right now? We possess

all we need to be genuinely happy. We just need the awareness of all that we

have.

COMING UP: Join us as we welcome Julie Court to share with us. She uses her

gift with words to write training materials, lesson plans, Bible Studies, sermons,

the Incredible Life Makeover book and more. She also speaks and teaches on a

variety of subjects: writing, leadership, communication, family life, intimacy,

healing, believer's authority, spiritual warfare, personal transformation and

freedom ministries.

Julie's intimate connection to God, even amidst painful life experiences, inspires

others to pursue face-to-face encounters with the King of Kings. She seeks the

ways, purposes, and mysteries of her Father and shares them to equip the body

of Christ. She currently works at Hope Gospel Mission in Eau Claire, WI, pastors

the Freedom community, and speaks at conferences, retreats, and events

through her non-profit ministry, New Life for Today.

FEEDBACK (CRITIQUE) OPPORTUNITY:

We will be taking a break from critique time until January 2017. Keep writing

and we'll start up again soon!

See you at the November meeting!
