February 2019

Luke 12:48b "Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more."

To be made in God's likeness, His image explains why we love to create, and to create with words as He did when He formed the heavens and the earth.

This responsibility is one that must be exercised and fed. Just as our bodies need nutrition and development, so does our writing. Whatever form this takes: books, classes, attending guilds; what it does mean, is utilizing these tools. And just as our bodies may rot when maintenance is ignored, our writing gift will atrophy when our gift is not exercised.

Encouragement is another tool in the arsenal of the writer. As lonely and singular a writer's life may be, God created us to rely upon others: first and foremost on Him, and then on one another - to encourage and uplift each other, not to be islands.

PROMPT: God left us with a rainbow as His promise after the great flood. Write a 1500 word first person account on a visual reminder God gives you of His promises.

Please attend February 12th in order to share what God has inspired. We will be critiquing one another towards May's Member Showcase! And, in order to receive, there must be those to give. Please, come and be inspired.
