Proverbs 22:1 - "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed

is better than silver or gold."

This month's newsletter is written by Sheila Wilkinson:

What do you think of when you hear the phrase a good name? I think of truthfulness

and integrity. Our writing is an integral part of who we are as we set forth our ideas and

stories. May we always strive to be upright and truthful in all of our words that we may claim

the honor of having a good name.

Writing Prompt: Pretend you will be interviewed on television and think of five questions

you would like the interviewer to ask you. Now, answer those questions. Then take those

answers and craft them into a short bio or pitch to be used with any of your writing.

COMING UP: At the February meeting we will discuss the nuts and bolts of writing. Why

do I write? Must I outline? How do I know when I'm finished? How much should I rewrite?

Do I need to edit? How can I turn telling into showing? We will have open discussion on

these areas with time to share ideas for tightening up that flabby writing - both fiction and

nonfiction. Join us on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.; bring your questions, your

writing, and your examples.
