This month's newsletter, written by Patti Nicholson: February is normally a very cold month in this area. So, what better time to work on that article or book, right? Or is it still difficult for you to find (make) time to write. I raise my hand to admit that I many times don't write when I have spare time. Of course, there are also days when I try to write, but the words just don't flow the way I want. I'm guessing that has happened with you too. Writing Prompt: So, how do you get back on track? Do you get up and walk around for a bit before trying to write again? Do you turn on some music? Do you turn the music off? Do you watch a movie? Do you read a book? Or do you sit in front of the computer and just type whatever comes to mind, whether or not it makes sense? Do you have any other tips and tricks for jump-starting the writing process? COMING UP: During the February meeting, we will have a Panel Discussion. The WWCWG Board Members will field questions and offer thoughts, suggestions, publishing insights, and practical advice. Guild Members will also contribute from their own experiences in this writing/ publishing venture. Join us for this interactive meeting that will inspire and encourage. See you at the February meeting! |
